Pura Lopez Spring Summer 17 collection defines a timelessly chic yet suggestive, glamour, strong and confident women inspired by Newton’s work through the vision and designs of PL new creative director, Raphael Young.

The new PL women is the creator of her style, she owns it. She is vain and provocative, but above all, she is free to liberate her femininity with confidence. Her style is timeless, effortless and transcends fashion and trends. Her charismatic personality allows her to balance strong and smart styles with a subtle playfulness.

This SS17 collection enters a space of modern beauty with sharp and precise codes that define shapes, colors and details. Clean lines and graceful curves of heels and uppers convey a new edginess through a timeless and classic approach. A play on circular and square cuts, straps, bondage and ties audaciously define and suggest the curves like corsets though a range of pointy toes and stiletto heels, flat ballerinas, sandals and wedges.

In addition to a detail driven design rendered by artisanal craftsmanship, there is a distinctive move towards a minimal aesthetic as a central element, focusing on creating provocative yet subtle and sensual lines and allowing the materials used to do their work. PL SS17 shows a perfect balance of attractive detailing and visually striking elements like metallic ornaments giving the collection versatility with an unexpected hint of rock infused transgression.

The styles and carefully selected materials demonstrate a clever approach to colors and contrasts. Noble leathers, metallics and playful prints, vivid and neutral patent leathers, suedes and provocatively chic deep red ostrich and other exotics such as python and karung immerse us into a resolutely lavish and decadent Newtonian atmosphere, exploring the combination of materials, and enhancing the personality and distinctiveness of Pura Lopez new design direction.
